Femmes d'Avenir Sénégal

A program that supports 205 Senegalese women entrepreneurs each year for 3 years. It offers two tailored pathways depending on the stage of the business: one for early-stage ventures and another for more established SMEs.

Completed programs

The initiative supported women-led SMEs in 6 countries over a period of 2 years. Jamii Femmes provided essential training, resources, and networking opportunities, fostering growth and resilience for women entrepreneurs in diverse sectors.

WIA54

A pan-African competition designed to uplift female start-up founders. Through this program, we recognized and supported female entrepreneurs from across Africa, offering them visibility, mentorship, and financial opportunities to scale their businesses.

WIA Mentoring by Deloitte

A program which aims to empower mentees over 7 months by providing virtual training in key professional skills, personalized mentoring to help achieve career goals, and to build a strong professional network.

Success Stories

Claudia Castellanos

Founder of Black Mamba Foods

Claudia Castellanos is the co-founder and CEO of Black Mamba Foods, an ethical food brand based in Eswatini. The company creates gourmet products, such as chili sauces and chutneys, using organic ingredients, while supporting local farmers by providing training in permaculture and purchasing their produce. Through these efforts, Black Mamba has positively impacted over 1,000 people in Eswatini. In 2020, Claudia’s leadership led to the company winning the WIA54 program, and in the same year, Black Mamba secured a $559,000 investment from Enygma Ventures to expand its reach across Africa and internationally.
